Porto – Portugal

I got this postcard from Marlene, from Portugal. She is a CouchSurfing friend.

The card shows the facade from ‘Pérola do Bolhão’, a store built in XIX century. The facade has tiles that forms beautiful images. The tiles were used a lot in buildings in Portugal in the XIX century. Brazil has many buildings like that, based on portuguese architecture, since Portugal was Brazil’s colonizer for over 300 years.
